Dan started framing houses at the age of 15 during the summer months for a local new construction builder. At the beginning stages, he moved material and was basically a laborer. During his years of framing houses, Dan learned all the aspects of a house including floors, walls, trusses, and roofs.
At the age of 20 yrs, Dan enlisted in the United State Navy. Upon finishing Boot Camp, Dan was granted 1 week of leave to visit family. That week was cut short due to tensions arising in Iraq, the beginning stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dan was flown to Bahrain, where he eventually met his new family onboard the USS Constellation CV-64. During Dan’s enlistment, he was onboard the aircraft carrier for 2 1/2 West Pac employments. During his enlistment, Dan made a lot of life long friendships, and unforgettable memories.Upon returning back to civilization, Dan’s first career was a salesman for a Suzuki Motorcycle dealership. It was then and there that he found a passion in customer service. Dan eventually became one of the top Midwest producers. The dealership eventually ended up being bought by a different owner, and that’s when Dan decided to take the customer service knowledge and apply it to the building trades industry, his roots.
Dan worked for a National Storm Restoration contractor for several years throughout the country. He became very knowledgeable of the insurance claim process, different materials, and overseeing a project from start to finish. During his career, he has been a Sales Representative, Production Manager, Sales Manager, and now Harrison’s Roofing General Manager. Dan is more than capable of solving exterior issues and providing a simple affordable solution.
During Dan’s off time he enjoys spending time with Alex (daughter), long time girlfriend (Julie), and his side-kick Denver (Newfoundland Dog). They enjoy visits to Gatlinburg where they hike, fish, and catch up with family. Dan’s hobbies include working on classic cars and traveling.
